'KAORI' and 'AJIWAI' are crafted simply and uniformly using Bonotsu clay from the southwestern tip of the Satsuma Peninsula and Amakusa pottery stone from Kumamoto. This area, known for its beautiful seaside and warm climate, nurtures fertile soil enriched by mountain spring water and sea breezes, bringing out the unique characteristics of each material.

These pieces retain the earthy texture and warmth typical of ceramics while also incorporating the durability characteristic of porcelain, making them practical for everyday use. This series was born from a desire to directly convey the unique qualities of the local soil and the culture of the land. Furthermore, the glaze is kept subtle to enhance the natural texture of the clay and allow users to better appreciate the concepts of 'scent' and 'flavor' associated with Blue Bottle Coffee.
