Shuo Iwakiri
Pottery often brings to mind someone working alone, far from town, but ONE KILN is in a residential area about ten minutes by car from central Kagoshima City. I decided to pursue ceramics when I was around 24. I called artists I admired and applied to a vocational school in Kyoto, but nothing worked out, and I felt trapped by an uncertain future.
